The season spans 60 days — from the first day of Malayalam month Vrischikam until Makaravilakku (mid-November to mid-January). This year, the Daily Ayyappan Vilakku Poojas will be held from Monday, 17th November 2025 to Wednesday, 14th January 2026, as part of the Mandala Makaravilakku Chirappu Mahotsavam 2025–2026.
